Privacy

This site has no forms, no accounts and sets no cookies of its own. Here is what does happen when you visit or get in touch.

Who is responsible

GAMEFIT LONDON LTD, company 15773410, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: 18-20 Canterbury Road, Whitstable, Kent CT5 4EY. That company is the data controller for anything you send it, and you can reach it by email at hello@gamefitlondon.com.

What this site collects

The site has no contact form, no account and no login. It sets no cookie, so there is nothing to accept or refuse when you arrive. Two things do happen when you visit: Cloudflare keeps request logs, and Umami counts the visit, as set out below.

Why we use your information

Answering an enquiry and keeping a reasonable record of it relies on our legitimate interest in running the business, weighed against your privacy. If you go on to become a client, that changes to the contract between us, which needs your details to arrange and deliver training. Cloudflare's request logs, which include your IP address, keep the site running and secure. That also relies on our legitimate interest, and Cloudflare keeps them only for the periods set in its own terms.

Analytics

Visits are counted with Umami, a cookieless analytics service. It records the page, the site you came from, the browser, device and screen size, the language and an approximate location, a click on an email button and which one it was, which questions are opened, whether the email address is copied and whether the end of the page is reached. It does no cross-site tracking and stores nothing on your device. Counting visits relies on our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are read and which buttons get used. This site's copy of Umami runs on its own server in London, so the counts are stored in the UK.

If you get in touch

Email is the way to reach us. A message to hello@gamefitlondon.com is received and stored, along with your email address, in the business's Zoho Mail inbox, and the reply is sent from there. If you do not become a client, your messages are deleted 12 months after the last message. If you do, they are kept for as long as you are a client and then as long as the law requires.

If you mention an injury or health condition

You do not need to describe an injury or health condition in your first email, so please leave it out. If you include one anyway, it is used only to reply to you, for example to suggest seeing a professional first, and we ask for your explicit consent before using it for anything else. It is not passed to anyone beyond the email services named below, and it is deleted with the rest of the enquiry.

If you become a client, you fill in a short health questionnaire before we start training, after you give your explicit written consent. It is used only to plan training that is safe for you, kept for as long as you train with us and for 12 months after, then deleted. You can withdraw that consent by email at any time. Withdrawing does not make earlier use unlawful; we then stop using the information and delete it, though without it we may not be able to train you safely.

Who processes this for us

Cloudflare hosts the site and keeps its request logs. Zoho holds the email inbox where enquiries are stored and answered. Umami counts visits on a server we rent from Oracle in London. Each one processes data only to provide its service to us, and we do not share your data with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Cloudflare and Zoho may handle data outside the UK, including in the EU and the US. Each of them says it protects these transfers in a way UK law allows: UK adequacy rules, or data transfer agreements that UK law accepts. Each sets out its safeguards in its own published terms: Cloudflare's data processing addendum and Zoho's GDPR page.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what is held about you, and ask for it to be corrected, deleted or its use restricted. Where we use details you gave us because you agreed or to carry out a contract with you, and handle them by automated means, you can also ask for a copy of them in a form you can take elsewhere. Send requests to hello@gamefitlondon.com and expect a reply within one month.

Your right to object

Where we rely on our legitimate interest (answering and keeping enquiries, and counting visits), you can object at any time by emailing hello@gamefitlondon.com. We will then stop, unless we have strong legitimate grounds that outweigh your interests, or we need the data to make or defend a legal claim.

Complaints

To complain about how your data is handled, email hello@gamefitlondon.com. We acknowledge a complaint within 30 days of receiving it. We then look into it without undue delay, keep you updated on progress and tell you the outcome. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
